The Spectator Parliamentarian Awards ‘23
Concept design: ‘politics as theatre’ | Art direction | Design, image composites & animations

2023 was the year where the creative direction levelled up. For the first time for Parliamentarian Awards, the art direction maintained creative leadership from start to finish. A theme was pre-emptively researched and developed that set a new precedent for future Spectator awards. The old stage design template was upgraded with a more ambitious structure to evoke a houses of parliament-inspired backdrop. Screen graphics were animated in 3D to evoke 19th century toy paper theatre.
