Spectator playing cards
Full design | Campaign creative | Animation

Working with a wide selection of Morten Morland’s Spectator cover caricatures, I re-edited and artworked the illustrations into a complete deck of playing cards. The challenge was to make each character feel seamlessly as though they were commissioned for the cards.

I also fully created the campaign creative from the ground up, including animation and full bleed campaign imagery and photography, built around the line “Play your cards right this Christmas.” The first edition steadily sold out, leading to a second blue variation and has been a stable merchandise product since.

Spectator summer gin
Concept & design | Art direction | Product imagery | Campaign creative

For art directing the Spectator's 2025 summer party, I proposed creating a bespoke Summer Gin to bring the prohibition theme to life beyond the event.

I developed the product concept, designed the label and supporting visual identity as an extension of the party branding, with the intention of creating a product that could live on as a piece of Spectator merchandise.

No merchandise range is complete without a puzzle.

I created the concept and visual direction for The Spectator's 1,000-piece puzzle, transforming characters and elements from 14 of Morten Morland's cover illustrations into a composite intended for an enjoyable puzzle experience.

I designed the puzzle, packaging and campaign around the finished artwork.
